Authentic Pork Chilorio 8.80oz

Chilorio originated in the State of Sinaloa, Mexico, and is made from stewed meat (usally pork) that is chopped into small pieces and seasoned with pasilla chile, garlic, cumin and oregano.

The recipe for Chilorio itself dates back more than 300 years and was originally used as a way to preserve cooked beef, as its ingredients act as natural preservatives, in a similar way to sausages preserve beef.

Mainly consumed in northern Mexico, with modern processing it is now distributed nationwide and internationally.
